Beverages: How to Make your favorite frozen cocktail beverages

Cocktail beverages are enjoyed all around the world and are prominent beverages globally. It involves combining fresh fruits and juices, mixed with alcohol and crushed ice to create these great tasting beverages. These cocktail beverages are synonymous with beachfront and tropical settings. But they can also be seen in bars or at events and parties.

The cocktail is believed to have come from Italian culture. The Italians have been making a drink called the frozen granita for centuries. This involves shaving ice off a block that is large and crushing it. This is then mixed with available juices, such as watermelon, orange and lemon. This would ultimately create slushies (known beverages) which are enjoyed by both adults and kids.

The granita laid the platform for the frozen cocktail. People startied adding leftover bits of alcohol into the granita which formed alcoholic slushie beverages. From here people came up with different recipes and today there are hundreds of cocktail beverages and their recipes.

Beverages: Making a cocktail

Making a cocktail could be pretty easy. It is just a matter of mixing some juices and alcoholic beverages. However, a cocktail that is frozen is a little bit more challenging. You need about half a kilo of ice to make one. This needs to be broken down into smaller pieces. You can use a few techniques to achieve this.

The first is to use a blender. This is the easiest way. All you do is blend for 30 seconds and put the ice inside and it’ll finish in a slushie texture that is nice. You can also use a pestle and mortar and break down the ice, doing only a handful at a time.

You can then start mixing the rest of the ingredients when you have the ice into a crushed form. So, to make a tequila sunrise, you would need a couple of ingredients. You would need a couple of raspberries, 100ml of tequila and, 2 peaches a fresh lime.

You need to chop up all of the fruit into small pieces. After that, you can blend or use the pestle and mortar to crush. You mix this in a jug with your crushed ice and stir thoroughly. You can then add the tequila. This will also help to break down the fruit a bit so it’s in more of a liquid consistency for easier drinking.

After that, all you need to do is squeeze in one fresh lime and mix together and you will have a refreshing cocktail.

Beverages are easier to make now with the advent of modern technology

With today’s modern technology you don’t have to go to all this effort if you do not want to. There’s a machine available on the market which automates this whole process. It’s commonly known as the cocktail machine or the slushie machine.

All you need to do is pour in ready to go flavouring or juice, There are hundreds of fresh fruits that are ready to go so you don’t have to mix any cocktail mixes available. The best part is the cocktail machine turns the liquid into ice after sixty minutes, and therefore you don’t need to add any ice.

A spinning auger within the slushie machines mixes all the juice and ice and then the drinks are ready and you can just pull down the handle. The downside to such machines is that they’re expensive to buy. You can hire a cocktail machine relatively cheap from a party hire supplier in the event that you only need to use it occasionally.

Frozen cocktail beverages are delicious whether you make them by hand or use a slushie machine.

Beverages make every party more fun!

Throwing a cocktail party can be a great way to get friends, co-workers or other business associates together in a loose, laid back environment. And there’s no better way to network, social or business, than at a party with a cold drink.

These cocktail party ideas may hearken back to the golden era days of Hollywood so play it up with some diffused lighting, silver candlesticks and a couple of vases of roses for a touch of class.

By pushing the sofas and chairs back to the walls, to create an environment conducive to mingling, make more space. So guests can engage in private conversations, create a couple of sitting areas, have a place to set their drinks and get a rest from those stiletto heels.

Avoid the junior-high dance by spreading the chairs feel out instead of lining them up against the wall. For those starry-eyed, would-be lovers; scatter several pens and notepads around the room to allow for the easy exchange of digits.

Perhaps the most important item on your list of cocktail party ideas is, of course, the bar. Find a spot off in the corner or to the side and designate it the bar area. By hiring a professional bartender for the evening, budget permitting, you can pull out all of the stops.

Can’t afford to hire a bartender and do not want to spend your whole evening behind the bar? A great cocktail party idea is to simply make the bar self-serve. Get the recipes for a couple of favorite cocktail beverages and multiply them by 10 and place in pitchers.

Or you can just provide the liquors and mixers, set out a book of recipes and let the party-goers craft their own libations.

Whichever way you decide to go do not settle for the same old beer and wine. If your guests are downing the same old drinks they’ve the other 51 Saturdays of the year, after all, there won’t be any novelty to your cocktail party.

For the most part, it’s the sparkling and mingling conversation that makes a cocktail party swing. But if you want to shake things up a bit try these cocktail party ideas.
